To those parents that were able to find time in their busy day to share in their child's
learning on Thursday's "Student-led Conferences, may I say thank you.
The classroom was a buzz with lots of conversation and happy, smiling faces. It was
a pleasure to see how much your children enjoyed the opportunity of talking about
their learning with you.
Please be reminded of the following two things:
1. WRCA's Parent Education Night with Mike Goheen. (P.S: He was one of our
speakers at the teacher's conference at PA. You won't want to miss him.)
2. Please consider assisting with lunch hour supervision.
Hopefully you'll be able to enjoy a sun shining weekend.

We're Finally There!
Another good night's rest and balanced breakfast should put our "Math Super Stars"
in a good place for their last assessment, Tuesday morning. Please be sure they are
on time for school.
This is probably the balance they need for Tuesday's Spirit Day of "Neon and Crazy
Hair Day! It should be an interesting combination.
Hope to see you during "Student Led Conferences." There are quite a number of
spots available.

Almost Halfway!!
Dear Parents,
We have only three remaining FSA's left, which are scheduled as follows:
Tues., Feb. 15th: Numeracy(30 minutes)
Wed., Feb. 16th: Writing(60 minutes)
Tues., Feb. 22nd: Numeracy(60 minutes)
Please ensure that your child is starting these days with a good breakfast and is
bringing healthy snacks and lunch.
To those of you that are supervising during the lunch hour, may I give you a big
thanks.
Please, please, consider signing up for "lunch hour supervisions"as we
are not even close to meeting the necessary parent number needed.
When this happens, teachers are having to give up their lunch hour
break.
Have a great weekend and in advance, "Happy Valentine's Day!"

As part of our Valentine's celebrations,
the Grade 4's may wear red, pink or white
with their jeans to match the spirit of the
day.

So Sorry!
Dear Parent(s),
Having rain both recesses yesterday is my only excuse. I do apologize for not letting
the class know about the non-uniform day today that replaced the one that we missed
at the end of January. I only read my email that day, but got distracted and didn't post
it on the blog.
Please note that FSA's will begin Tuesday morning, so just to be on the safe side,
please make sure that the students are in class on time. I have them do the shorter
ones first to help them adapt. They will also being doing one on Friday morning as
well.
Your support is needed to ensure that they have enough rest, have had good
breakfasts and healthy snacks. We have found that this combination helps them to
put their best foot forward, which is all that we can ask.
Have a wonderful weekend. I hope this sunshine is an indication of the rest of the
weekend.
Kathe
P.S. In the interest of classroom unity, please be sure that every student is included
in the delivery of Valentines. Unless there are birthday invitations for all the boys, or
all the girls, please have your child pass them out privately after school.

Congratulations Scientists and VP Scientist Helpers!
Dear Parent(s),
You did such an amazing job of guiding your child and their partner(s) through their
first individual Science Fair Project. They were so excited to share and equally
excited to share in the experience of learning from others. Many of them
demonstrated such a good understanding of how they developed their experiments
through the various stages of the scientific method, that they will bring a heightened
level of understanding to any future experiments or Science Fairs.
My hat goes off to you all for such a terrific effort,
Kathe Good
PS......................Please by reminded that the school has sent out an email asking
that all projects remain in the gym until 7:30, at which time they can then be taken
home. If you are unable to pick yours up, please see if another family can do that
for you.
...........................Any remaining projects that are not picked up will be discarded.
